While visiting my son in Oregon, this image caught my eye. The bright red of the dog house against the light snow that had fallen, along with the greenery, just really stood out.

What caught my eye is how the sky was so clear, and the clouds were just hugging the horizon.

I want a new camera. I can’t have one, but I want one, nonetheless.

At times, I like to do research on all the different choices out there. I just like to look.

I have loved my Sony DSC-F717. It’s easy to use and takes great pictures. I go back and forth over when I am able to get a new camera, do I want to stick with a great point-and-shoot or move up to a DSLR. I just don’t know.

But just in case there is a Santa Clause, and he’s feeling generous, here are a couple of ideas:

1. Sony DSC-F828
2. Sony DSC-R1
3. Nikon D50
4. Canon Digital Rebel XT

I have no experience with any of these. The closest would be the F828, since I own an F717. But I would love to hear any opinions from anyone! When I win the lottery, a new camera will be mine.
